Dr Hulmes has received the following request from Dr Yang Liu, a lecturer from China. He is looking for a position (and has already some funding) but David is unable to welcome him. Please contact Dr Liu directly if you are interested (the contact details are in the CV attached to the post below). Thank you
Dear Prof. Hulmes, DJS,
I am writing to you about the possibility of studying and researching in your lab as a visiting scholar. My name is Yang Liu. I’ve got my Ph. D degree in South China University of Technology under the supervision of Professor Wang Yingjun (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), majored in Materials Science. Now, I’m working at Changzhou University as a lecturer.
Your researches are of particular interest to me, especially in the field of biomedical materials and tissue engineering. Since you are a well known specialist in this field, I believe that it will be very helpful to my academic career if I have the chance to continue my research work under your advice. I believe my former education and research experiences, which match your research direction highly, have prepared me a well candidate for a further research with you and under your supervision. The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education has approved my request to study abroad. They will provide me with 1600 dollars per month along with a round-trip ticket as financial support for one year.
If you are interested in my curriculum vitae, please unfold the attachment. Your favorable consideration of my application will be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to hear from you.
Sincerely yours,
Yang Liu
